"We have things you don't normally find at your everyday Walmart," Mary Szanyi-Coffey, owner of Zany Coffee and Collectibles, said.Zany Coffee, opened in November 2006, carries a vast array of unique collectibles such as Looney Tunes characters, Peanuts, Star Trek, Star Wars, classic cartoon characters and McDonalds character figurines. The store also sells handmade jewelry and artwork from local artists as well as music boxes from the San Francisco Music Box Company, Crazy Mountain Arts, Funko Toys, Silkstone Barbie dolls and consignment collectibles.As the name states, they also are a coffee shop carrying cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, hot chocolate, smoothies and frappes as well as a small selection of baked goods.Zany Coffee and Collectibles is open from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m.- 9 p.m.
BF Avery unique in collection
"I like the oddballs," said the 88-year-old tractor collector, his eyes on his three-wheeled, deep red 1946 B.F. Avery tractor. The tractor was the only B.F. Avery among the 51 antique tractors on exhibit Saturday at Sandburg Mall, where the Maple City Antique Tractor Association is having its annual Mall Tractor Show. The show continues today. Most of the tractors are John Deere, International Harvester or Ford. A few were Allis-Chalmers, which is the brand of the first tractor Page's family owned. .

BROOKGREEN GARDENS, U.S. 17, between Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island, is home to the Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington sculpture garden and features more than 550 works of American sculpture. The Lowcountry History and Wildlife Preserve houses waterfowl, river otters, alligators, foxes and deer in their native habitats. The Lowcountry Trail is a boardwalk through restored rice fields and archaeological sites of an overseer's home, a smokehouse and a slave's cabin. Also featured are Babette Bloch's sculptures of the the plantation's historical figures. Through March 4, the gardens will feature almost 60 sculptures as part of the National Sculpture Society 2006 Annual Awards Exhibition. Sundays and Tuesdays at noon through March 6, the gardens features "Silent Cities," a guided walk through slave and plantation owner's graveyards; tickets are $15 in addition to admission.
