Braves Agree To Terms With Wilson
(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Braves agreed to terms with outfielder/first baseman Craig Wilson on a one-year contract on Thursday.
The 30-year-old Wilson hit a combined .251 with 17 home runs and 49 runs batted in over 125 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees last year.
Wilson started last season in Pittsburgh and was shipped to the Yankees at the trade deadline in exchange for pitcher Shawn Chacon.
Wilson holds a .265 career batting average with 98 homers and 290 RBI in 674 games with the Pirates and Yankees.
The versatile Wilson, who has belted 12 career pinch-hit homers in his career, has played the outfield, first base and catcher in his six seasons in the league.
