| Lisa's Laws: Recipe for 'Top Chef' success
This week, the most phenomenal television event since "Project Runway" will come to a close. Make no other plans for Wednesday night, because that's when Bravo's "Top Chef" concludes. In case one or two of you out there haven't been watching, "Top Chef" is a competition among cooks. It's just like "Project Runway," except without the clothes. Instead, they prepare food under all kinds of wacky restrictions: They cook on the beach for surfers, they make hors d'oeuvres out of vending machine snacks, they cater celebrity parties under breakneck deadlines. That sort of thing. Since the season finale is this week, I'm sure the producers are under pressure to come up with challenges for the next crop of contestants. And I think they should also consider moving the show off the West Coast to a place where folks really know their food: here.
